Defontaine increasingly committed to supporting teenagers in their professional choices
Defontaine SAS has joined Ecl’Or, a concrete project to help young people develop their career paths.
The Defontaine Group has a concrete strategy towards young people. Until now, Defontaine has regularly opened its doors to secondary schools and high schools to introduce them to the company and its activities. Defontaine also regularly visited schools to do the same. On 6 July 2022, Defontaine took a further step in joining the Ecl’Or project alongside the Michel Ragonde Montaigu-Vendée secondary school.
Throughout the 2022-2023 school year, Defontaine will sponsor a class of 4th graders and offer them the opportunity to discover its businesses and its La Bruffière site. The aim of the Ecl’Or project is to put young people in touch with companies in order to help them discover the local economic industry and its know-how. The aim of this initiative is to help young people become real players in the development of their career path. This involves understanding the world of work, developing self-knowledge and doing the link between the common university base and professional skills.
If the experiment is positive, the course will be offered to all 4th grade classes and to the 540 pupils who will be in 3rd grade at the start of the 2023 school year. The idea is to extend the Ecl’Or project to all 4th and 3rd grade year classes for the start of the school year 2024.
Today, 18 companies are involved in the Ecl’or project:
