Rollix has been manufacturing slewing rings for the marine and offshore sectors for over 30 years.
Rollix’s engineering and research and development departments are able to provide slewing rings specific to the needs of its customers: ball bearing and roller bearing technologies, or very high radial loads and high speeds (RLX-HDR). The rings are custom designed based on calculations including our finite element modelling.
Rollix slewing rings are used in a large variety of equipment: offshore cranes, pods or azimuth thrusters, gangway rings, seismic winches, subsea winches, FPSO buoys and floating wind turbine anchoring systems.
Rollix also actively participates in the design and delivery of prototypes and pre-production series for the wind-powered ship market, as well as in the electric propulsion segment. These designs are perfectly in line with the Defontaine Group’s sustainable development strategy.
Our manufacturing facility enables us to take part in projects supplying slewing rings up to 6,000 mm and compliant with DNV, ABS, BV, LLOYDS, GL, API and RS standards.
